Alan Buchman, MD,
MSPH, FACN, FACP, FACG, AGAF- trained with
homePEN pioneer Marvin Ament, MD, at the UCLA program and has been involved in
HPN since 1989. He is currently Professor of Medicine and Surgery at
the Feinberg School of Medicine and practices gastroenterology. He has authored
more than 100 contributions in medical journals and has done extensive research
on the complications of HPN, including those involving the liver, kidneys,
bones, infections and catheter thrombosis. He speaks regularly at Oley and
clinician-focused meetings.
