Armed with a doctorate
in nutrition and experience in research, fund-raising and finance, Laura
Ellis, PhD, RD, joined the Oley Foundation as executive director in 1993.
The next few years were difficult ones for the home infusion industry, and
marked the beginning of a challenging financial period for Oley. With everyone
pulling together Oley was able to navigate our way through this tough time. What
was most remarkable was everyone’s resilience, spirit of conviction, and sheer
determination to secure Oley’s future. Laura is now Associate Vice President for
University Development at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Albany.
