Complication Charts — Your Guide to Troubleshooting Common IV and Tube Feeding Problems
These charts are designed to help consumers and caregivers recognize major metabolic and mechanical complications with their tube (HEN) or IV (HPN) feeding, and advise them with appropriate steps to avoid and/or treat them. New consumers/caregivers are encouraged to read the chart and discuss any questions with their physician — especially if any steps on the chart differ from their normal care protocol. The charts are intended as a tool to complement, not replace, the advice and care of the consumer’s physician.
