Rick Davis, has been a tube feeder since 2000. He uses enteral nutrition exclusively after a stroke destroyed his ability to swallow
anything. He struggled for some time and then was introduced to the Oley
Foundation. His interaction with both consumers and professionals at an Oley
Conference convinced him that he could live a full and active life even if he
was on HEN. Rick now travels again, worldwide, and has been instrumental in
bringing the conference to Salt Lake City, his home town, in 2006. He reaches
out to stroke victims in his area and other Oley members whenever he can. Being
a member of the board allows him other ways to give back to the people and
organization that assisted and inspired him when he needed it.
